Rather than focusing on action alone, Gangster City focuses on strategy and simulation. Players build up experience points and slowly work their way up the organized-crime ladder. Missions have you fighting other gangs, stealing, kidnapping car jacking and recruiting allies into your own gang.

Players work for experience points to level up their abilities. They can also increase skills by buying new weapons, tools, clothes and cars. You can even purchase houses. Most missions and jobs net you in-game cash along with the XP points. Gangster City has deep strategy but is also easy to pick up and play.
